Toronto, ON (PRWEB) March 28, 2011

Today tea enthusiasts everywhere can experience ancient Armenian tea culture as Authentic Teas begins distribution of its wild-crafted herbal teas, organically harvested and prepared in the highlands of the Caucasian mountains. Authentic Teas is a new boutique tea company working directly with indigenous tea crafters to bring a taste of Armenia to the world.

David Richardson, CFO of Authentic Teas, points out the purity of their teas and the way Authentic Teas operates makes them unique. “Unlike conventional tea producers, our Authentic Teas are grown and sustainably harvested in the wild; free of chemicals or environmentally harmful production methods.” Harvesting and blending is done entirely by hand, using traditional methods that have been followed for thousands of years. The result, says Richardson, is an outstanding tea experience unparalleled by any other tea in the market.

Tea drinkers want to know more than just a name brand, they want to know the story behind their favorite indulgences so Authentic Teas uses its website to showcase the story of the people and the ancient tea culture of Armenia. “As an avid tea drinker, I was captivated with the story of Armenian tea,” says Richardson. Herbs like oregano, thyme, Linden flowers and mint grow wild in the Armenian highlands.

Tea crafting takes place in indigenous village areas, where most of the economic benefits are returned to local artisans, helping ensure that a lifestyle and culture grounded in two thousand years of tradition continues. Authentic Teas supplier and master tea artisan, Dr. Armen Mehrabyan, pointed out that the harvest and tea preparation is carried out under the strictest observation of Armenian traditions. “We follow the tea crafting practices found in ancient Armenian manuscripts,” he explains.

Richardson notes that tea preferences are rapidly shifting. As consumers develop more sophisticated tea palates, demand is growing for healthful, high-quality tea experiences. “Armenian tea, with its millennia of tea crafting excellence, offers the perfect match for consumers wanting an unforgettable tea steeped in authenticity and purity.” Authentic Teas offers four teas that are USDA certified organic while two more are made with 95% organic ingredients.

About Authentic Teas
Authentic Teas is a boutique tea company providing tea aficionados with a unique beverage experience through its certified organic, wild-crafted tea blends, hand-picked and sustainably produced in the highlands of ancient Armenia. Authentic Teas connects the world’s best tea artisans to its most discriminating tea drinkers.

Atlanta, GA (Vocus/PRWEB) January 21, 2011

President Obama welcomed China’s President Hu Jintao to the White House on Wednesday. It is said that this high-level state visit could usher in a new era of understanding and prosperity between the two nations. Wednesday’s summit between presidents Barack Obama and Hu Jintao is “the most important top-level United States-Chinese encounter since former Chinese President Deng Xiaoping’s historic trip more than 30 years ago.” “The United States welcomes China’s rise as a strong, prosperous and successful member of the community of nations,” Obama said.

President Hu said his visit was intended to “increase mutual trust, enhance friendship, deepen cooperation and push forward the positive, cooperative and comprehensive China-U.S. relationship for the 21st century.” Hu, making his first trip to the U.S. since 2006, said the U.S.-China relationship has grown into one “with strategic significance and global influence.”

Upon wrapping up Wednesday’s discussion, the two presidents sat down to a grand black-tie state dinner in President Hu’s honor, with a guest list featuring many prominent Chinese Americans, U.S. political figures, and some of the who’s who from many circles in America. The historical dinner was complemented by Teavana’s Golden Monkey Chinese black tea. Golden Monkey is the finest black tea from the Fujian province of China. Golden Monkey is a smooth tippy tea grown at 3000 ft elevation, rich with complex chocolaty undertones, is extremely low in tannins, yet rich in flavor. Award winning Golden Monkey originated during the Song Dynasty (960 – 1279) under Emperor Weizong. Once prized as an Imperial tribute tea, over a millennia ago, Golden Monkey is now truly a modern imperial tribute tea for these two world leaders.

Teavana was honored to be involved in a small way at the historic summit through being selected for tea service. Daily the company promotes an ‘East Meets West’ understanding through education, involvement in the world’s community & delicious teas at over 150 store locations nationwide.

Atlanta-based Teavana (http://www.teavana.com) first opened in 1997 with the name meaning ‘Heaven of Tea’. The specialty stores are part retail shop and part tea emporium with over 100 different selections of loose-leaf tea from all over the world. The company donates 1 percent of profits from tea to CARE® (http://www.care.org), which goes to improve the lives of those who live in tea-producing areas of the world through education, access to safe water and greater economic opportunities. Teavana currently has over 150 store locations in North America.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) January 11, 2011

The American Tea Masters Association is pleased to announce the licensing of its tea mastery training courses and support materials to Escuela Argentina de Té (Argentina School of Tea), headquartered in Rosario, Argentina. The school was launched in June, 2010, by Diego Morlechetti and Liliana Venerucci, both trained as Certified Tea Masters by the association. The new school is responsible for training and certifying registrants fluent in Spanish who reside in South America, Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Spain. The objective of the school is to grant true knowledge and professional training on this topic to Spanish-speaking consumers. Current courses of instruction include: Certified Tea Sommelier, Certified Tea Blender, and Certified Tea Master. Several new courses will be announced in March on the school’s web site, http://www.escueladete.org.

“Morlachetti and Venerucci have achieved a remarkable accomplishment by launching Escuela Argentina de Té,” according to Chas Kroll, Certified Tea Master and Executive Director of the American Tea Masters Association headquartered in San Diego.

Morlachetti, the first Certified Tea Master in South America, was born in Rosario, Argentina. At age 20, he initiated his studies on local plants and herbs. At 23, he traveled to India where he was introduced to an expanded world of herbs and, of course, tea. In 2006, he and his family launched Agni Teas (http://www.agni.com.ar), which is inspired in ayurvedic knowledge making infusions with tea. It was the first teashop in Rosario and quickly became one of the major teashops in the country. Today,

Agni has two locations in the city and provides luxury teas to restaurants, hotels, and local consumers. The company offers 70 different kinds of tea: green, white, oolong, black, and herbal, including rooibos and mate. It is the first South American teashop to develop a “private collection” of superior quality, imperial-grade rare teas for clients seeking a special experience.

Morlachetti’s business partner, Liliana Venerucci, became the second Certified Tea Master in South America. She is also certified as an Ayurvedic Educator by Dr. Deepak Chopra, was trained in Ayurvedic Medicine by Ayurvedic physicians, and lectures on tea’s health benefits and its well-being. Born in Rosario, Venerucci travelled to India to study with local masters to learn the art of blending spices, and preparing ayurvedic formulas, tisanes, and masalas. This knowledge was the foundation for starting the Agni Teashop in 2006.

Since 2008, Morlachetti and Venerucci have been participating in a local television program called “R2010 – Una Ciudad de Sabores” where they discuss various tea cultures, new teas in their teashops, and offer advice and information on a number of related subjects. Every Saturday morning, since 2009, they lead a local radio program called “Ecuación Bienestar” on FM 89.5 “Fisherton CNN.” During the programs they introduce ideas for healthy living, tips to reduce stress, and discuss the different types of tea and their health benefits.

Morlachetti and Venerucci became the first two Certified Tea Masters in South America in March, 2010. This accomplishment is empowering to both of them, providing a significant opportunity to expand the marvelous, ancient, and mysterious world of tea to the people in South America and elsewhere.

For more information on the Escuela Argentina de Té, visit its web site at http://www.escueladete.org or contact Diego Morlechetti at info(at)escueladete(dot)org or 0054 341 449-6196 and 0054 341 449-6971.

Boulder, Colorado (Vocus/PRWEB) March 04, 2011

Longmont’s Left Hand Brewing Co. is releasing a limited edition beer infused with tea from The Tea Spot of Boulder. Exciting infusions are occurring in Colorado! Now, both tea and beer enthusiasts can taste their worlds in one sip with the Lapsang Souchong brew. The beer has been dubbed TNT. TNT is a Weizen Doppelbock – a strong wheat beer – infused with Lapsang Souchong tea, most notably well-known for its smoky character.

Jared Kochik, The Tea Spot’s Director of Operations and one time employee of Left Hand Brewing, was the liaison who kindled the partnership for this blend. “As a long time beer geek and general tea enthusiast, it’s exciting to see these two worlds collide in Left Hand Brewing’s TNT. The unique, smoky notes of the Laspsang Souchong black tea ride quite smoothly alongside the powerful flavor of the Weizenbock. We are honored to have lent a helping hand in Head Brewer Ro Guenzel’s modern combination of the world’s two oldest brews: tea and beer.”

The tapping of this limited edition beer will be held at Left Hand’s Tasting Room in Longmont on Friday, March 4th, 2011 at 5 pm, with representatives from The Tea Spot in attendance.

PURCHASE, NY (January 6, 2011) /PRNewswire/ — Brisk Iced Tea is revitalizing its legacy of animating iconic celebrities through clay puppet animation by partnering with rock icon Ozzy Osbourne and a few other A-list stars. To refresh the campaign and launch an online contest challenging consumers to tell their own brisk stories, they’ve recruited the famed Prince of Darkness, who’s known for his bold behavior.

Brisk, a product of the Pepsi Lipton Tea Partnership, is working with Osbourne to present a tongue-in-cheek web film promoting the brand by telling viewers how to be normal—from Ozzy’s perspective, that is. The film opens with a clay puppet Ozzy offering instructions for normal living, including things like go on a cruise, decorate your cubicle and believe commercials. After breezing through a list, he snaps out of it with a swig of Brisk and is transformed back to the risk-taking rocker we all know and love.

“Ozzy is continuously reinventing himself,” says Mary Barnard, Vice President and General Manager of the Pepsi Lipton Tea Partnership. “From rock star to reality TV presence to author and advice columnist, Ozzy is always creating and doing new things. People love him for that—and that’s what Brisk is celebrating in this web film.”

The Ozzy web film is the second clay puppet animation film produced by Brisk this month. The first stars Mexican-American action hero Danny Trejo as his title character Machete Cortez from the 2010 film Machete. He rapidly recounts the film’s events in an ultra-condensed, action-packed sequence with a lighthearted tone—all after a swig of Brisk.

“People love to see a recognizable celebrity having some fun with their image, which is why our kick-off of the Brisk clay animation spots in the nineties worked in the first place,” says Barnard. “This time around, we’re bringing the brisk spirit into play by creating a more frenetic pace and packing as much into 30 seconds as possible. We’re keeping it Brisk.”

Both the Trejo and Osbourne films can be found on the Brisk Facebook page at www.facebook.com/brisk. Trejo’s film is available now and Osbourne’s launches on January 14, 2011. Fans are encouraged to review the films and submit their own brisk stories in 140 characters or less. Two winners’ stories will be animated and placed on the website.
